Known for creating out-of-the-box solutions to help his clients achieve their objectives, Douglas Cabral, Founder of Excelsior Realty, skillfully combines his extensive real estate knowledge with the latest technology and his knack for anecdotes.
Cabral is mostly recognized for selling Claudio's in Greenport, New York, in 2018, the oldest same-family-owned restaurant in the US. His accolades now include the recent selling of the fifth highest valued home in the North Fork area in 2021.
His career in the real estate industry came to him naturally and seamlessly.
At the age of 16, he was already self-employed and started to learn the ropes of building a company from scratch by venturing into the landscaping and masonry construction business which he eventually sold. He then expanded into the insurance and risk management industry, building it up into three locations with 12,000 active clients with offices in New York and Jupiter, Florida. He eventually sold his equity positions and transitioned to private money and commercial lending in 2013. Ultimately, these experiences in entrepreneurship became the foundation for his real estate career and his firm, Excelsior Realty.
Cabral believes in leveraging the latest technology to help his agents conduct their business and provide clients with many options. He has invested a significant amount of his time and capital in testing software and systems, providing clients with better technology to streamline processes of acquiring and selling real estate.
He believes that collaborating, working as a group with a unified vision, and ensuring every agent and teammate is growing, are the traits that set Excelsior Realty apart. Cabral also believes in the importance of leading by example, showing dedication to the work he does and how he does it.
