Finding Peace After Grief: How Actress Theadina Von Seyfried Found Life After Father’s Passing

Losing a loved one is undoubtedly the most painful time people will ever go through. It's devastating to lose someone precious and dear, whether it's a friend, lover, or family member.

Theadina Von Seyfried struggled to adjust to life after the death of her father. Her father died in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, and her joyful days turned into sorrow. But what seemed to be a harrowing moment in her life, has turned her into a better person and appreciated life even more.

Her father has become her strength to pursue what is most important to her, inspiring people and helping others.

“I changed into a different person. It took me some time to get out of that deep black hole of sadness, but I know my father would not want me to be sad forever. He'd want me to go after my goals & dreams which is exactly what I am doing now. So I'd like to fulfill this wish of mine,” says Theadina.

Her father has influenced her in becoming the kind person she is today.

I had a very happy childhood both in the Philippines and California. My parents (especially my father) would take me to movie screenings, premieres, The Hollywood sign, museums, art exhibits & galleries, etc. My father had a very strong impact on me growing up. My mom would also play a lot of Old Hollywood movies so that's where my love for film came from,” she recalls.

Theadina is an actress and model. She was born in Los Angeles, California in October 1989 to parents of German and Filipino descent. She had a wonderful childhood growing up, with hugely supportive parents, particularly her father, who inspired her to pursue a career in Hollywood and cinema. Museums, art exhibits, and galleries were her playground, so it's no surprise that she had a deep passion for film and art.

I grew up an only child so I would watch Movies in my room & just be immersed in another world other than my own. It's cathartic. Even as a child I was very artistic and knew the importance of art in the world,” she added.

She began modeling in high school and at 25 she pursued acting and took classes at The Beverly Hills Playhouse.

Her father’s demise has made her realize the most important thing in life, to become a vessel of hope and inspiration to people.

“Having gone through grief and losing a loved one- I feel my heart has opened up 10 fold. I'd like to give back to the Universe all the blessings and lessons that life has taught me. I want to be good and do good. I want to give back,” Theadina said.

Theadina acknowledges that glitz and glam were her life when she was younger, but as she has grown older, her aspirations have shifted.

“I grew up in Hollywood very privileged. It breaks my heart to know there are children and people without food in the world. Without a home, or without family. Living in Los Angeles I am surrounded by the glitz and the glam. I'm over that. Now I realize what is important in life,” Theadina says.

She wishes to help children and those in need. She began assisting at Covenant House, a homeless adolescent shelter in Hollywood, in February of this year. She plans to launch a non-profit organization that will help orphans and at-risk youth in underdeveloped nations.

“I no longer care about the glitz or the glamour, I just want to do good. This is my mission now and this is what drives me to accomplish my dreams. Sometimes I feel all alone in the world or I don't have a family so I really just want to help others. ,” she adds.

Theadina’s courage to face all odds and challenges in the middle of an affliction is proof of how strong and determined the actress is to change the world.
