Getting to Know Actress Theadina Von Seyfried

Being born with a talent and a passion for art and film has made Theadina Von Seyfried an artist whose star is clearly on the rise.

Beginning her career as a model in her teenage years, she soon after began study acting and has gone on to work with a variety of actors and directors throughout the years.

Theadina is of German and Filipino origin and was born in Los Angeles, California. She spent her childhood in the Philippines, where she was exposed to nature and Filipino culture. She returned to the United States when she was five years old and began kindergarten. Her father was a retired colonel from the United States Army and film producer who later turned to real estate investing. Her mother is a Filipina who was born in the Philippines.

As a young girl, Theadina used to attend exhibits, museums, and galleries with her father.  This exposure to art and creativity fuelled her desire to pursue a career in the arts, so she began painting before she was later introduced to the film business. Her mother also exposed her to vintage Hollywood films, which is where her passion for classical cinema began.

Theadina was an only child growing up. She kept herself occupied by watching movies on television because she didn't have any siblings to play with, and, even as a child, she understood the value of art.

Her parents encouraged her to pursue her passion for movies, so she began modeling in high school and, at the age of 25, enrolled in lessons at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

However, Theadina's father died of illness during the pandemic. This was a turning point in her life when she realized what was most important. She made the decision to volunteer for non-profit organizations and assist those in need.

“Not really having a family inspires me to help others who also don't have a family. I have a dad but he's dead. I'm not too close to my mother anymore, so I feel alone in life a lot,” says Theadina.

“So I told myself it's OK you don't have a family.... the orphans you help, people you met, will become your family along the way. Having gone through grief and losing a loved one- I feel my heart has opened up 10 fold. I'd like to give back to the Universe all the blessings and lessons that life has taught me. I want to be good and do good. I want to give back,” she adds.

Theadina has shifted her focus from glitz and glam to becoming a source of inspiration and hope for others.
