Cody Patrick continues to use his expertise to develop a new crop of artists in the music industry

Music pro Cody Patrick continues to use his expertise to develop a new crop of artists. He has joined Asylum Records' A&R team and continues to run one of Atlanta's leading music marketing agencies.

"As an A&R at Asylum Records, I am able to discover artists early and build their careers from the ground up. This was always my dream job, and I am lucky to be able to pursue a career with Asylum and also run my own marketing company at the same time," says Patrick.

Patrick says that over the past decade, he has learned more and more each year about the music industry. "Each year, the spark that causes artists to go viral or become famous seems to change. Whether it's via TikTok or a meme, the Internet finds a way to organically expose an artist to the world," he adds.

Asked about his plans, Patrick said that he wants to continue to make his way in the industry by signing and developing the world's next big hip hop act.

The music veteran joined Asylum Records in 2020 and continues to work alongside Dallas Martin and Gabrielle Peluso. He has signed artists such as Butch Dawson, Whookilledkenny, Julesthewulf, Dolo Tonight, King Green, Ladonnis, and more. At Asylum he has also played a role in putting together projects with Sada Baby, Kentheman, FL Dusa, Girl Talk, and Yella Beezy.

Patrick has also received an RIAA Gold Record Certification award for his work on Sada Baby's viral single, "Whole Lotta Choppas," Hotboii's gold single featuring Lil Baby, "Don't Need Time," and the 2 times platinum-certified album, "Culture II" by Migos.

Cody Patrick has helped direct and produce many popular music videos, such as "Bad and Boujee" by Migos and Lil Uzi Vert, "Broccoli" by DRAM and Lil Yachty, "Sassy" by Rapsody, "Never" by JID and "Jefe" by TI and Meek Mill.

The music pro has also collaborated with Future, Sada Baby, YG, Kentheman, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, T-Pain, YFN Lucci, Cyhi the Prynce, MAC Miller, Dreezy and other major artists. Cody Patrick was born on 2 July 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, Florida.
