Ahmed Elbatrawy: finding purpose in entrepreneurship

Born in Egypt on August 25,1971, Ahmed Elbatrawy emigrated to the US in 1994 and graduated from Full Sail University with a BFA degree in Music Technology. But his career would become focused on real estate and he cut his sales teeth in Timeshare vacation ownership.

Like many arrivals in a new country, Elbatrawy faced many challenges when he came to America. These steeled him to strive for success.

"I was alone in a new country and I had to make a living. I constantly needed to prove myself. I had to learn how to be a leader and how to be number one," he says.

Ten years ago, Elbatrawy experienced a pivotal moment in his life. He became seriously ill and this motivated him to share his knowledge and help others achieve the sort of success he had enjoyed.

"I wanted to change the world and leave a legacy. I wanted to teach as many agents as possible how to be successful," he says.

Elbatrawy gives back through his agency, Engel & Volkers Orlando, making regular donations to the Ronald McDonald House charities.
