Their typical timeframes for standard delivery are:
- 8-12 business days (Mon-Fri excluding public holidays) for optical glasses and sunglasses with prescription, following prescription verification.
- 3-5 business days (Mon-Fri excluding public holidays) following order placement for non prescription sunglasses and accessories.
- 4-5 business days (Mon-Fri excluding public holidays) for contact lenses, depending on the product and supplier availability. Contact lenses are ordered directly with our suppliers and may be subject to out-of-stock or back-order delays. As they have no control over their supplier stock levels or back-orders, they recommend placing contact lens orders while you still have some supply at home.
Once your items have been shipped you will receive a confirmation email, and their warehouse will send tracking information once your order dispatches. Please note: there are no live tracking updates for prescription items at this time.
Currently, Bailey Nelson Online ships within Australia only, by Australia Post Express e-Parcel. Shipping within Australia is free for orders over $30. They are also able to ship within Canada, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand; for shipping within these countries, please make your purchase through Bailey Nelson Canada, Bailey Nelson UK, or Bailey Nelson NZ.
To support our customers during the COVID-19 outbreak, we have extended our returns from 30 to 60 days. We are happy to accept returns for full-price optical and sunglass products at any time in the first 60 days following purchase. All you need to do is drop into the boutique where you purchased them, or email info@baileynelson.com.au if you purchased online.

For hygiene reasons, the Meimask cannot be exchanged or returned for change of mind, only in cases of demonstrable product fault.
Free gifts with purchase must be returned along with the original order for your refund to be fully processed. Where the items are not returned, the value of the free gift will be deducted from the refund applied.
Purchase two pairs of acetate, steel, or steel combination frames in a single transaction for $250, and any additional pairs in the same transaction for $125 each. Prescription purchases include standard single vision (1.5 index) optical lenses only; the same prescription must be applied to all pairs. Additional costs apply for high index lenses, prescription sun lenses and lens add-ons.

Simply add the frame of your choice to your cart and follow the prompts! If your information isn’t already on file with them, you’ll need to attach a current prescription with a valid expiry date, along with your pupil distance (PD). You can get your PD from any optometrist who has made glasses for you in the past, or you can pop into any of their boutiques at any time to have it measured.
If you’re not sure you’ve attached the right thing, or think you have forgotten something, don’t worry – their online dispensing team review all prescriptions before processing, so will get in touch with you by email if there are any problems!
They sure do! You can select ‘I’m an existing customer’ during checkout. If there’s anything missing, or your prescription has expired, they’ll get in touch as soon as possible to let you know.
They currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, ZipPay and Afterpay for all orders except contact lens subscriptions. Subscription orders require payment via credit card.

Your glasses will usually be ready within 7-10 business days (Mon-Fri), depending on your prescription and what you’ve ordered.
Each prescription is reviewed by their online dispensing team before processing to ensure it is correct and in date. If there are any problems, they’ll get in touch with you at the email address provided on your order. Incomplete or incorrect information will unfortunately cause delays to our standard shipping times.
Once your items have shipped, you’ll receive an email with the parcel tracking number from Australia Post. While they do their best to ship as soon as possible, their delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. In the event of a delay at their processing lab, they will get in touch as soon as they are advised of it with an updated delivery estimate. During peak periods (such as Christmas) or sale periods, some delays may occur.
Non-prescription optical frames are processed via our optical lab and typically take 7 business days.
Non-prescription (“standard”) sunglasses and accessories ship from our Sydney warehouse to either your address or nominated BN boutique, and typically take 3-5 business days.
While they do their best to ship as soon as possible, their delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. In the event of a stock delay in our warehouse, they wi be in touch as soon as possible with an updated delivery estimate. During peak periods (such as Christmas) or sale periods, some delays may occur.
Yes! They have optometrists available to test eyes across all their boutiques. They bulk bill, so the cost of most exams is covered by Medicare for eligible card holders. Please note that Medicare do not cover contact lens examinations, and some charges may apply for contact lens wearers.
