May 2021 Review
Best Online Backup Software
It seems like a crowded space, but we like 2 of the main data backup platforms in the market. Both Backblaze and Carbonite use backup technology to secure and protect data and information created or stored on the web.
We review and call out their strengths and weaknesses below.
#1. Backblaze – Pricing starts at $6 per month per computer plus applicable taxes.
#2. Carbonite – Plans starts at $24 per month basic computer back up
Our Conclusion - Backblaze #1
Backblaze was rated 4.6/5 Stars and Carbonite is 4.1/5 starts on G2.com.
Backblaze is a clear winner offering best-in-class security. Some of their best features are single Sign-On via G Suite or Office 365 and 2 Factor Verification via SMS or ToTP Authenticator Apps both available for all users.
Sure, Backblaze offers Cyber resilience, the ability to prevent bad outcomes when it comes to your data, like ransomware and data loss.
However, Backblaze B2 is enterprise-grade, S3 compatible storage that companies around the world use to store and serve data while improving their cloud OpEx vs. Amazon S3 and others.
If you need an enterprise level backup solution, we recommend trialing Backblaze over Carbonite and anyone else in the market.
