Our Conclusion
Ecwid basically offer more than Shopify for less (or nothing). , Unlike Shopify, Ecwid has a free plan forever. Also, Ecwid is superior to Shopify in a couple of ways, their marketing tools platform is easier to use and has more functionality (Mailchimp, Facebook, Instagram). Also, we loved you can sell across different marketplaces like FB, Instagram, Amazon all from one dashboard. Also If you already have a store you don’t need to start from scratch – it’s quick and easy to turn your existing website into an online store.
Don’t get us wrong, Shopify is good, and they’re big. But for the price, it just doesn’t have the same breadth of functionality Ecwid has.
However if you are looking for a much more straightforward and doesn’t limit product options at all, we recommend trying Ecwid first.
